Jacaranda is partnering with the Ghana Health Service (GHS) to test how PROMPTS could support government health priorities, which include using digital tools to improve quality of care and efficiency in health sector spending. In 2022, Jacaranda launched an operational study in partnership with the Dodowa Health Research Centre to assess the feasibility and acceptability of PROMPTS for mothers and frontline providers, and what contextual adaptations would be needed to meet their needs. With a successful operational study, our aim is that GHS scale the program nationally, in partnership with other service delivery providers.
We support county governments to co-own and co-finance our solutions, as a pathway to long-term sustainability. Over the last seven years, Jacaranda has earnt increasing government recognition and buy-in by proving its solutions can deliver impact on government health priorities and by routinely sharing data that helps them do more with their resources.
