Ghana COUNTRY SPOTLIGHT

Improving quality, access and equity in Ghana's maternal health systems

Over the past decade, Ghana has made considerable progress in reducing maternal and newborn mortality rates. However, the country still faces barriers to ensuring all mothers receive high-quality health services, including low prenatal and postnatal care coverage, and limited data on the gaps in maternal health services and systems.
Our Partnerships
A digital solution to support cost-effective improvements in quality of care
Our vision of an “end game” at scale is our government partners leading and sustainably financing cost-effective innovations in the public health system.

We support county governments to co-own and co-finance our solutions, as a pathway to long-term sustainability. Over the last seven years, Jacaranda has earnt increasing government recognition and buy-in by proving its solutions can deliver impact on government health priorities and by routinely sharing data that helps them do more with their resources.

What we are
learning in
Greater Accra

Our operational study, taking place in the Greater Accra Region, will test the feasibility of PROMPTS to support Ghanaian mothers and answer some critical questions about how our technology can be quickly, and cost-effectively replicated in new geographies.
